Flashlight flickers briefly, then becomes completely unresponsive

Hi, I have a problem with my flashlight and I’m hoping someone here can help.

When I insert the batteries (I tested multiple different ones), it doesn’t work properly. The flashlight flickers for a brief moment and then turns off. After that, it doesn’t respond to the power button at all.

Does anyone know what could have caused this or how to fix it?
