Just arrived from the Texas Blade Show.

Strider SNG with Lego Black g10 , magnacut with ghost stripe finish.

My first strider, and oh boy what a disappointment.

Just the same issues I read before , heavy lock stick , I use a sharpie and a pencil, and need to pull the frame lock out because the detent was too hard and pushing the lock like 50% , I didn’t mind a little of lock stick, my McNees has a little and it’s ok.

But this one damn , I fixed it, did hard whacking for test and is ok , but damn for the money I was expecting to be at least like my hinderers…

Just for collection, that destroyed my hype for them 100%

Aiming for a CRK or machine wise next time…

This sucks, because I absolutely love the design of the knife… But yeah there QC seems to be lacking…

That sounds about right for a Strider. They do require some break in. Once you break it in, it will be great.

Strider is still holding onto its reputation when they were one of the “big 3” midtechs at the time. They haven’t innovated and their prices have risen. They’re falling behind.

I like the design a lot, but the QC on them has always been shoddy. I’ve been buying Striders for over 10 years.

I have this one too and for some reason this one has lock stick a little more than other new striders some have less and some have none. It’s a great config though so I am keeping mine. Love the ghost stripes and stonewashed lock side it will hide wear very well. It will also break in with time I believe.
