Lost my favorite knife xc skiing about 4 months ago

Took a bad fall coming down a ridge and didn’t realize it was gone until later that night. Well, I just found it, or a very good dog found it!!! Any suggestions on how to dry the wood out I don’t want it to splinter or cracking. Thanks in advance!
