Has anyone tested the XPLR or XPGR round emitters from Cree? I’ve bought an XMMR from Kaidomain and the 5000K looks really good comparable to how good SFT40 5000K looks. Do the smaller round emitters also follow the trend? Hoping to replace the green SFT25R with something powerful but more neutral.

they’re basically just worse versions of the SFT25r afaik. Last I checked people’s tests suggested they were probably not even made by cree and didn’t bring anything interesting that made them stand out.
Funny enough, I just swapped the XP-LR 6500K in my Acebeam E10 2.0 for an SFT-25R 5000K. I’m actually getting more range and output, even with the lower CCT. The SFT-25R 5000K does have a slightly positive DUV, but it doesn’t bother me at all in such a capable thrower.
I find the XP-LR to be more neutral, though it’s not quite as powerful as the SFT25R 5000K.
Wait until lmp w5050sq5 emitters are more commonly tested they seems like could be the best option minus cri
Lmp 73b and 531 have very nice tints and cct ranges from 3000k to 6500 k
Convoy offers them with a 8A driver in their lights and u can buy them separately
It’s basically the size of a sft25r but with the footprint of the sft42r 5050 so should offer better thermals and performance in terms of output the older w5050sq3 at 5 a was tested about 1300 lumens so this might be 1500-2000 given the output close or the sameas sft40 at 8a
