Some new members of the family that arrived in 2026, with some short commentary. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about the lights! From right to left:

– Wurkkos HD05, SFT70.2: A great, super practical light. The main beam is a good balance of floody and throwy. The red and UV are nice features, and the wing (with its adjustable color temp) is really cool!

– Convoy M21H MAO, SFT40 3000K: My first MAO and M-series Convoy. The optic equipped makes it super throwy. Definitely fun to throw some 3000K light so far outside, but not the most practical. Also, the UI kind of sucks.

– Sofirn SP31V3, 519a 5000k: A nice mixture of EDC and 'Tactical'. Cool light, but not the biggest fan of the side/tail switch combo, since it feels a bit too clunky to me, especially in an environment where you need a 'Tactical light.

– Convoy S8, 719a 3000K: Such a great little light. Basically the same as the S6, which I love along with many others.

– Skilhunt Mix-7 Gen2 Plus, 519a 5000k: My second Skilhunt light, and boy is this one a joy to use; I never thought it would be so fun to light up a dark room with any color of my choosing. Bonus points for an intuitive UI (even given the multitude of modes and colors), which I was able to master quickly without referencing the manual.

– Firefly X4Q Comet, FFL351A 3700K: Wow. What an amazing light. It has a beautiful color temperature and tint. It is relatively throwy for a quad-emitter light of its size and class. I love the green, and the pocket clip is suprisingly good. If only it featured USB-C charging, then it might be my perfect EDC light.

– Klarus XT1A, XP-L HD: I bought this because I was looking for a miniature version of my Sofirn SK30. My requirements were instant and momentary access to both turbo and low, with dual tail switches. This light delivers. While it is a bit large for a 14500 light, it performs well as a small Tactical light. Very pleased with this light, and if Klarus decided to make a modern refresh of this light with an updated emitter and battery (the included features micro USB charging…) it could be a home run.

Convoy T7, 519a 3500K: Relatively small and simple. Can't go wrong with it if you are looking for a small EDC with onboard USB-C charging. And of course, the 519a at 3500k is just gorgeous.

Convoy S8 (shorty), SFT40 6500K: My attempt at building the 'unicorn' tactical light I've been searching for. The build turned out pretty well. With the forward clicky switch and the two mode High-Low UI selection, it is a decent option for those looking for a super compact tactical light. For such a small light, its output is pretty insane. I've added a knock-off clip and the green button.

Sorry if I’m being annoying, but I think you meant from left to right.

  2. I love my X4Q and Mix-7, they’re a couple of my favorites.

May I ask why you didn’t you go with the very similar X4 Stellar with usb-c charging.
I’m asking to maybe see what main differences you might have preferred with the X4Q over the usb-c charging
    Amazing additions btw
