They've just thrown in a regular fan. Mine failed after 5 hours of runtime testing, it now lets out a loud whine when moved ever so slightly. Sofirn rate this at IPX6, but the wires and circuit are exposed….

Fan isn't user replaceable without disassembly of the driver. Wire hole through into the flashlight is just hot glued, not very impressed.

Great to see Sofirn moving in this direction, but IMO they really need to improve on how it's implemented.

With the fan pointed off to the side, there's no safety temp limit to stop the light killing itself, or the user should the cell explode.

    These fans are very frustrating in the RC world. I break maybe 40 a summer, they just fail so easily with any dust or particles.

    They are basically a tiny winding on a chip

    Haven’t really found anything better
