I got some folding knives that I want to take apart and clean up. I have this Gerber and I can not get the screw out because the silver piece won't stay put. Any suggestions on how to keep the silver back from spinning so I can get the blade out?

You mean the pivot? Piece of rubber and some pressure on it while you unscrew it should help.
Just drop female pivot on the other side. Push against the rubber surface and wind the screew head.
