The knife is the CRKT Provoke. I saw and handled one at my local outdoor shop, and thought it was sick as hell, but wondered about the safety of it. Anybody have any experience with it? Heard anything good or bad about it?

I own one. I love it. I never use it. It’s a weapon, useless as a utility or edc knife. It is safe to carry and use.

I like mine. Very comfortable to grip. It’s fun to play with. It’s not the most practical knife but I wanted one to fill in a specific spot in my collection for a weird opening knife since my kershaw et was stolen.
I handled one and didnt like it at all. The opening and closing mechanism felt very unnatural to me. Im sure with more time I wouldve gotten the hang of it, but it didnt feel worth the price tag to me
He’s a creative industrial designer and patent troll.
I think his axe design as cool as it is, it’s not ergonomic or practical.
Not hating on him, I like his designs but just think they are outside the scope of useful.
I’d call it a mostly pointless gimmick, but admittedly I’ve never owned or handled one either.
