Now that I've had the Warrior Ultra for some time . I've put it to the test ,not scientific just my observations. First off it's the most beautiful light I've ever owned . It being promoted as a thrower is a bit of a stretch . It 2,500 lumens and 25,000 candela , 10 candela to 1luman isn't thrower specs . My older original Fenix pd36r 1,600 lumans 20,000 is just about it's equal . The Fenix has a tighter hot spot with more spill , the warrior has a larger hot spot . The Warrior Ultra excels in the UI . The combo tactical tail and side switch , gives you instant access to almost all brightness modes . It appears to have an optic that spreads the light out in a funnel shape . That's great for close to medium distances. Super large hot spot , that resembles a flood light at distances . Like a flood light with a bit more balls . It's great at what it does , perfect all around light . I just wouldn't call it a thrower. Last thing , this is my second Warrior Ultra. The first one I gave away didn't like the color . So I bought this one in Olive . This one does not perform as well as the first one I had . Not as bright and less throw . I ordered direct from olight and no plastic wrap and the seal was broken . I wonder if this was a return šŸ¤”. I've been debating on whether to send it back or just keep it . Anywho that's my story and I'm sticking to it .
