For some reason what I wrote below didn’t come through.
It’s a Loveless designed Beretta. The damaged side looks like someone did it with a dremel of engraver maybe. Added three X’s near the bolster too. No idea why as every example I can find shows that this side of the blade was blank with the exception of some markings near the bolster indicating JAPAN, SEKI, and sometimes a model number.
I’d like to make him an offer but I don’t know enough about collecting, or these knives in general to be fair. I also can’t find anything on what type of steel it is. Any help would be appreciated.
