What have you tried? I’ve had the best luck with wicked wax. Also used Balistol. The later makes it pretty dark. Bees wax doesn’t last long at all, and most oils leave it a bit greasy for too long

Use food grade mineral oil. It lasts for a month or so. Make sure there are no additives.
