Hey guys, I know this isn’t technically a knife but I figured you guys would have the answers. I know there are some mixed thoughts in gerber fixed blades but does anyone have any experience w this hatchet? It seem like the perfect size and shape for a good durable pack hatchet but I figured I’d get some info from the blade gurus here before I buy

Gerber hatchets and axes are fine, but to be honest, I’ve used a tiny hatchet like this before and it sucked. A slightly longer hatchet makes a big difference in usability while not really being that much more difficult to pack.
I had one, hated it. Axe head is way too light, so it feels like you never get any swing in it, rolls like crazy and the sheath is crap. You’re way better off getting a small fiskars
