I assume it’s titanium? If you don’t want to send it back, popping it off and bending it back should be quite easy.
That said, I know Sypderco’s love their giant holes but having made a number of ti clips for myself over the years, it seems like having that rather large hole in the primary area of tension, leaving only those tiny little side bits to do all the work, seems like a tough design constraint. I realize you need access to the screw but that does ask a lot of the material.
