I recently tested the Sofirn SK40 and wanted to share a quick summary here.

What stood out:

• good light quality
• strong throw for the size
• nice wide beam pattern
• easy controls
• simple UI

What I didn’t like:

• the included 21700 battery was a bit disappointing
• rated at 5000mAh
• my test results were 5229mAh charge / 4865mAh discharge
• it also feels a little too light in hand for my taste

I also tested:

• USB-C charging
• battery indicator
• outside Turbo performance
• UI / modes
• package contents

Overall, I think it’s a pretty solid compact thrower, but not perfect.
