I bought my first nice flashlight, a Convoy S3 with B35AM 4500K and Molicel M35A (Mode 8 sans Mode Memory for those who may be curious). I spent a whole day reading up on flashlights, and I bought one with exactly what I want: a tailswitch, a somewhat throwy beam with decent spill, decent brightness for home use + the occasional outdoors excursion, and gorgeous off-white light with great CRI!

Ordering from Convoy was easy once I knew more about different emitters, CCTs, and batteries, and my order got to me on the west coast (US) in a quick 9 days alongside its siblings, a Z1 (SFT-42R 5000K and Reliance RS50) for my grandfather and a pink T3 (519A and Vapcell F15) for my friend. My S3 was in pretty decent nick upon arriving, only requiring me to blow a piece of dust off the reflector and screw the bezel in slightly further (the other two needed no adjustments). I had really been needing a flashlight, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!

I’ll probably buy a few T3s to give as gifts as well as a few spare orings and lenses, but otherwise I’m totally set! Except to maybe buy an S2+ in silver!
