With the scuttlebutt about this brand out and about, figured I'd jump on the train while it's relevant. Recently DLT had been having some killer sales on Bark Rivers which got me to finally try some of their knives after all these years.

This Tope Recon is my most recent one and definitely my favorite. it's 3v steel, convex grind, 3/16" thick. The handle contour is excellent. It is surprisingly thin behind the edge which I was somewhat apprehensive about but it took everything and shrugged it off, even batoninng through that oak knot. It cut well above its weight and it penetrates quite well without getting stuck (yay convex grind). It also cuts fine feathers extremely easily, with it cutting too deep too easily being the more difficult part about making feathers with it. It cut brush very well with mostly just wrist flicks. The sheath is not.al Bark River quality.

All in all I was definitely surprised at some of the performance given the weight and blade length.
