Credit to /u/technoman88 for putting the DDH-F8A on my radar. I managed to order one from Taobao via Superbuy that was sold prebuilt. It came with 6500k 70 CRI LHP73B that I did not like, so I reflowed LHP73B 4000k into this thing. The light is very easy to mod. My soldering iron couldn't quite get hot enough to make nice blobs due to the thick wire and giant MCPCB, but managed.

It has two active cooling fans. Uses an XBY 47mm buck driver. It can have an optional 3×21700 carrier or 46950/46120 carriers. The USB-C port has a cool screw-in cover instead of rubber, yay. It has a nice lit switch with a metal decal on the front. There is a green AR lens, which is much appreciated. The MCPCB takes 8x 7070 3v LEDs.

Compared to my Convoy 3x21A with 3x LHP73B mod, this thing easily out throws the Convoy while putting out way more flood. Compared to my Nightwatch A10 with 10x LHP531, it both puts out more flood and waaaay more throw. I could believe this thing is putting out around 50k lumens or more on turbo with 3x Reliance RS50s in it, and all of those lumens in slightly rosy 4000k, albeit low CRI.

The XBY driver is quirky and I am still trying to figure it out from the Chinese directions. It is at least click-for-on-off and hold to step modes. I don't think it has a moonlight. But, mucho lumens…
