I received this Convoy L21B with an SFT42R yesterday and after a closer look I observed a small black dot on the emitter. I reached out to Simon and he suggested cleaning it with a cotton swab. I also used some isopropyl alcohol.
After cleaning it I can still see a tiny spec. Is it worth trying to clean it further? Will this cause any problems?

“perfect” is enemy of the “good”
dont mess with it any further – this was some soldering flux splatter and if you cleaned it once it should be ok. soaking unprotected phosphor with alcohol could just make it worst
