Vintage 172 Solingen Germany Knife

Found this at a local pawn shop today tossed in a box with some cheap pocket knives for $10! I can’t explain it, but it feels like this knife has some history, so I wanted to see if anyone knows anything about Solinger knives. I could not find anything really on google. I’m going to clean it up and polish it still, I’m just too curious to wait! Thanks in advance!!
