Hi everyone,

So… I made a terrible mistake.

A few days ago I casually searched for “a good flashlight for dog walks”.
Now after 3 days, I know what candela means, I’m comparing emitters like SFT40 vs 519a, and I’ve watched more beamshot videos than actual movies this week.

The problem: the more I read here, the less confident I am about buying anything.
There are just too many awesome flashlights.

Every time I think “okay this is the one”, I read another post and suddenly there’s a better driver, better tint, better throw, better UI, better everything.

So before I fall deeper into this rabbit hole and end up with 14 lights I don’t need, I need your help.

What 2 flashlights would you recommend for a beginner getting into the flashlight business:

  1. A medium-sized dog walk light (good mix of flood and throw)
  2. A searchlight / thrower under $100

I was thinking about the Acebeam T35, but I’m not sure if that’s actually a good pick or just the latest light that distracted me.

What would you buy if you had to start again with just two lights?

Thanks in advance — and also thanks for destroying my sleep schedule.

You are still okay. Remember that you are the one in control. If you really want to stop, stay away from [ConvoyLights.com](http://ConvoyLights.com) and NEVER get on the Okluma mailing list!
