First off, y'all are terrible, an obsession has started.
Been shopping around for lights to fill the gaps I "need" for a finished quiver. And I'm curious about what kind of switching scheme you prefer and why? What do you prefer for what kind of use case?
For me, I like tail only switches for pocket lights. But if I'm going for a night walk and always holding the light I like the side switch for mode changes.
Bonus, can any of you name these two lights?

Im starting to prefer the separate buttons for power and mode switching…particularly on “tactical” style lights.
I prefer side switch flashlights the majority of the time, I just find them far more ergonomic to use and operate. Even my vintage incans, including the one I have that’s over 70 years old, even they are side switch, which tells me that it’s been a desirable setup for a very long time. That said, I’ll still get along with tail switch on certain lights, particularly Convoys which give me lots of emitter and color options that I don’t get elsewhere. The Convoy T6 is one of my favorite tail switch lights.
Out of the over 100 lights I have, for something to just throw in my pocket, the olight warrior mini 3 has the best UI imo.
If I want something fancy, I’ll take anduril on a sideswitch all day.
I don’t have a preferred UI. Tail switch would be a bitch with Anduril UI, but on a tactical flashlight I think dual tail switch is better. I guess it really depends on the use case.
