I had some italian made knives. Some worse, some better than others. I will never ever own an Extrema Ratio ever again, because those are – while built tough – are sometimes put together by Luigi on a Friday afternoon and boy does it show. ER is like the Strider of Italy.
Fox knives make fantastic knives though, so does MKM.

The 3 lionsteels ive owned have all failed through very light use and their customer service ignores my emails so bad.
