This is similar to a recent post I made (now deleted), but I realized that I didn’t ask the right question.

I have an A4 Pro Ti high-CRI at 5000K (reflector) and an A8 5000k high-CRI (TIR). They are new so I’m ASSUMING that both have the 219C and are actually 5000K as stated and sold.

See photos. The A4 Pro Ti is MUCH warmer and kinda greenish compared to the other 5000K light. And some pics don’t do it justice but the A4 Pro is somewhat floodier too.

Are these beam and tint differences due to the A4 being a reflector and the A8 being TIR? Or could it be due to either tint lottery or mislabeling/factory mistake?

NOTE: At some point, Rovyvon switched from a Cree to an SST-20 for the high-output 6500K versions, but AFAIK the 5000K high-CRI has only ever been offered with the 219C, with either reflector or TIR depending on which Aurora model.

Reflector vs TIR does make a difference, but definitely not this much. Do you have a photo of the front of the lights to help us ID the emitter?
