I purchased this knife secondhand with the description of it being unused and essentially brand new. When I got it in had it was initially pretty decent, a little stiff but just seemed like it wasn’t broken in and still had great action. After maybe an hour of fidgeting with it, this is how it is. No disassembly or anything. It’s like the lock bar got stepped on my bigfoot. Super gritty and super tight. I love the knife otherwise and would like to keep it, just not like this.. should I reach out to the seller, to BladeBinge, to Vero? Try and adjust it myself? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Take it apart and clean it .
Disassemble and clean real well. Go from there. I’m not sure how feedback works on BB but I’d give it. No way they didn’t know about that.
There isn’t really a break in period on Vero. They’re good to go right out of the box. Something is wrong in there. Maybe a bad bearing if it’s not debris.
Is the blade centered? 1st thing I’d do is take it apart, clean, lube & reassemble.
Disassemble, clean, line, reassemble, and during reassembly dial in the pivot screw to where there’s no blade play/good blade centering and no tighter. Loctite it into that position.
Thats my formula for basically any knife
Take it apart & clean it.
If that doesn’t work, I’m sure the guys at Vero will handle it. They’re pretty good about that kind of stuff in my (admittedly limited) experience with them.
A little oil on the detent ball can do wonders. Every once in a while I’ll get a reate made knife and they just get super dry and gritty. Happened to a berg blades Sweeney and a null voodoo. Dab of kpl heavy or any other oil on the detent ball/path and back to normal.
For what it’s worth, I always stop if the first slow roll open feels off.. loosen, or teardown and clean/oil.. you are usually doing harm to the bearing races otherwise.
