Got some new li-ions in a couple of weeks ago and noticed this. Somehow the button top got pushed in, like a primer struck by a firing pin.
Is this ok to use or should I take it to the recycling center?

IT’S FINE
It’s fine. Just slightly dented. If it makes contact and the vent underneath the button isn’t blocked, fair game.
If it seats, it yeets.
This is a little button that is tack welded onto the top of the cell. This is not physically part of the cell. It is fine.
