After using the D1K with the SFT-70 3000k as my bike light, I quickly realized it was not very kind to other people on the road. It essentially functioned like a high beam. I 3-d printed this mod which cuts off the top portion of the beam to help prevent me from blinding other road users. The rings just snap fit between the cooling fins.
The new beam isn't quite perfect, but much better at keeping the light out of people's eyes. I may need to lengthen the fins on the side to go further back so the beam portion that is cut off is flat all the way across instead of the sort of cat-ear shape it has now. The last shot with the new beam was taken with WB set at 5500k
