Local gunshop has a Benchmade Bailout with green aluminium scales for $230. I know Benchmade is considered heavily overpriced, but I've been wanting to add a tanto blade to the collection, and I like the green scales. I love my Benchmade 940 Osborne (it's what got me into collecting)
so thoughts on the bailout? is $230 a good deal?

It comes down to what you like so if you like it, buy it. That said, I personally do not like Benchmades and would not pay that price for that knife. But someone who loves it may happily pay that.
If your trying to save money and have some patience, pick up a bailout on r/Knife_swap and save 10-40% over retail.
I won’t touch another benchmade. Soooo many better options on the market.
