Finally made the wifey a kitchen knife. Forged this one out of Pops ProCut with a distressed mustard patina and is wearing some desert ironwood with peened brass pins. The stand is olive wood with a forged mild steel holder. She cuts 100% better than a store bought knife, especially with the convex grind it has.

    Looks solid! Im jealous I just want to replace the scales on my camp knife and I cant even do that.

    Im curious, did she ask for that blade shape? I tried one of the zwilling bob kramer knives with a similar shape and it was a lot of work to move that knife efficiency. Ended up defaulting to a tojiro santoku, which hits the sweet spot. Still would like a nice patina blade collection but im stuck with the VG10 stuff.
