Hey all, me again.

I am looking to add a new fixed blade to my collection, which will stop at 3 fixed blades. I currently have an old school Ka-Bar USMC Fighting Knife (1095 Cro-Van, 7" Clip Point, Kydex Sheath) and an OKC M7 Bayonet. The theme is classic, military and then cutting edge so the next will be the best of modern knife design and metallurgy.

The use is primarily utility (light camping/hunting) so it actually has to perform in the outdoors. My Ka-Bar currently fills this role but of course has an inherent weakness with the rat-tail tang.

Was initially going to add an OKC-3S Bayonet and just use it as a collectors piece and utility knife compromise but very tough to fine genuine ones and it just would be better to get a dedicated modern fixed blade.

Requirements for new fixed blade:

  • CPM Magnacut (or a very good 1095 blade)
  • 6" to 7" Clip/Drop/Spear Point Blade
  • Micarta or G10 Scale Handles
  • Full Tang
  • DLC or similar finish
  • Kydex Sheath (ideally but not absolutely aftermarket)
  • USA made

I have been looking very closely at the Spartan Harsey Difensa (love Spartan Blades), Ka-Bar Becker BK82 but also open to suggestions?

For context, the primary use is utility but secondly I do want something that represents the latest and greatest about modern knife design to add to the theme of the collection. Would also be great if it could also serve as a fighting knife with great balance between cutting and also thrusting blade design but this is not the tie breaker.
