I know zoomies are almost unanimously hated, but there's always a few "Well, if you MUST have a zoom" suggestions, most commonly the Convoy Z1. I don't think I've ever seen the Fenix LD45R recommended. Yes, it's a bit spendy when not on sale. The CRI and tint are OK, not great, not terrible. BUT, it's a really solid light with electronic zoom so the beam pattern is really nice. Is anyone else familiar with this light?

I’ve suggested this a few times as one of the very few examples of a non crappy zoom light. I don’t have one, but it seems quite interesting and it’s from a reputable brand. I’d 1000% have to swap the emitter to the SFT-70 3000K though, I can’t stand the icky cool white.
