Been carrying this guy every day for two months and it fixes everything I have always hated about OTFs for EDC. it's lightweight, super slicey, has an ergonomic handle, plenty of grip, the blade isn't off center, and they can easily be found for ~$200. OTFs have always been a novelty/compromise for me, but this thing actually works as a user. If you haven't tried one, I highly recommend it (but don't pay MAP).

I like mine. I wish I’d waited for these newer versions that don’t have the glass breaker. That’s my biggest complaint about the knife.

Not gonna lie I clicked thinking this was a marketing thread, then realized its literally about the market, haha. That blade profile looks super practical for actual daily use.

Out of curiosity, hows the action after a couple months (any misfires) and is it still easy to keep clean/lubed? Ive always avoided OTFs for the same novelty/compromise reason.

Also, random but I read a quick writeup recently on how brands like Benchmade price/position these in the market, interesting context: https://blog.promarkia.com/

I can’t imagine posting that Benchmade makes the best every day otf on the market. Spicy take.

Shootout was very lack luster for me. My current EDC is a Livewire and I would put it above the Shootout in almost every way.
