Using the 23mm Noctigon 8*emitter Mule MCPCB from the smaller D4 lights, but in the D4SV2, brings the emitters more central, & away from the host by Β± 7mm. It's not quite a central mule, but it's also not quite an outer mule, just somewhere in-between.
I took inspiration from my D4SV2 SBT90.2 mule build, & decided to house the MCPCB in copper, creating a hybrid heat sink, with the large copper housing becoming an extension of the MCPCB. This housing is secured to the Aluminium spacer with flame colour tempered SS screws. The copper housing with textured copper frame is probably my favourite aspect of this build, & was fun to make. To see it in that gorgeous host is just π€€
It wasn't all smooth sailing, some equipment malfunctions & unforeseen issues prolonged this build & definitely made finishing it all that sweeter ππ»
Thanks for looking ππ»
