Diving light recommendation

I go reef diving about once a year and somebody just gifted me this sick Wurkkos DL10R. But, I have never lived with a light before. If you are a diver, do you recommend:

• A: My poor man's goodman handle made with 4mm shock cord
• B: Just clip it to my wrist
• C: Don't blind the fish hiding in crevises with your 4500 lumen beast and go without a light for your daytime reef dive
