This is a follow-up / deep-dive to my two earlier posts:
– https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/1qrj706/if_you_sell_flashlights_mainly_to_recover_funds/
I did not know until today, that:
– my returns (due to cancelling already paid orders, problems with the gear or me not liking it) were so substantial (~30%)
– my sales (mainly to recover funds) brought me back only about 20% — I was expecting higher percentage
I have slowed down my purchases substantially, more about it here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/1qua367/why_im_not_buying_my_next_light_and_why_thats/
Now I’m committed to slim down my “collection” further. I’m not really a collector of flashlights and (except for a few sentimental pieces) I only want to keep those, that I will likely use.
Do you have similar insights about the financials of your hobbies? Are you even keen to discover them?
