   Just picked up the para 3 magnacut. I think it’s considered a salt version. But it’s not actually on the box as such.

   I’d be curious to know if the rest is the same? Mine does have two bushings. I hear some of the frn versions don’t.

   Mine also needed a bit of smoothing on the blade end that goes into the knife and locks up. I have no idea what that part is called. But it was rough and catching the compression lock metal and would require me to pull back on the blade to release it. Hit it with some 2000 micro mesh and it’s fixed. Came damn sharp. To the point where to grind made the tip hair thin so I gave it a full sharpen and regrind. That’s not really the manufacturers fault in my book. So I’m not complaining nor would I return it.

   But the frn scales are what made me choose this version. The grip, the soft feel in hand, the bi directional pattern. It just felt so much better than the g10 or micarta para3 I held side by side. The trade off was the regular para 3 with a full liner frame deployed much more smoothly. A trade off I was willing to accept.
