TL;DR Modded my old Sofirn lights with LHP531 4000K & 3000K.
HS40 was been with me for a while. I didn't like its beam profile and wanted to make it more floody (who said mule? not that much). So firstly I swapped stock emitter SST40 6500K with XHP50.2 5000K, got the beam I wanted, but awful tint shift was still there, and I also wanted it to be a bit warmer. I recently received some LHP531s from Simon, and 4000K one took its place on HS40 mcpcb. Got no tint shift as expected, wide diffused hotspot and very very large spill. Totally fine with it.
SC18 was bought a couple years ago on sale for a burgain price, and probably it was the only reason why I got this light. It has bad both driver and emitter – a sort of shit combo, so I haven't used this light actually. There was nothing to do with the driver, but after swapping another SST40 6500K to LHP531 3000K and putting some GITD tape under the TIR, I become liking how it turns out.
On last photos there are beans before and after and comparison to 519A 4000k.
PS: never try to clean these 531s with Flux-off or something like that. It dissolve phosphorus immediately and you'll get 7000K emitter instead of 4000K one. Ask me how I know this.

Congrats!
Did you consider to [remove reflector from HS40](https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/s/n7abFzF0y0)?
