I trusted a friend with my Opinel No.8 and it came back with a snapped tip. I’m beyond frustrated.
Is this fixable or should I just get a new one and use this for parts?

ouch. I completely understand your frustration, i myself keep my things to myself. People just don’t understand how to take care of stuff sometimes.
Good thing they’re only 20 bucks.
