I robbed the clip from my Niwalker N50T. It’s been around the block. It works perfectly on Noctigon KR4/KR1, and the bright idea popped into my head when I was looking at the Surefire, so I tried it. It’s like it was made for this. The dual direction clip that comes with the Surefire is sweet but the raised portions are just too small for my liking and don’t slide over pockets well. This has curves in all the right places lol and is like butter. No modifications needed. Works with both orings. Is tight, doesn’t spin. The only tiny tiny nitpick would be that it’s glossy black.
I didn’t carry the EDC1-DFT Turbo without a Thyrm Switchback before now because the stock clip didn’t cut it for me, so it always had a larger footprint than it deserved. Now when I want to go really minimal, true to the EDC1’s intention, I can.
Gotta love chance finds like this. The N50T is a strong light that’s neutered by a tragic UI, but it makes for a good standby/porch/vehicle light, so if you can grab it for cheap off of Amazon it makes sense to use the clip. Also, I contacted Niwalker and they would send out a clip for free, and I’m sure if several folks wanted to get some clips for their Noctigon stuff, and for the few that also have EDC1-DFT’s, it might be justified to order a dozen or so clips from Niwalker, just pay the shipping.
Anyways, just food for thought. I’m a happy camper!
