Summary
The X2 Pro+ is a solid but gentle update to the X2 Pro. The “Plus” refers mainly to the red light and the build quality, but that is to be understood in an absolutely positive way. I don’t miss the focus function at all, just like with the X4, even though it was a cool gimmick. The new UI is solid, though a few shortcuts would suit it well.
Perhaps the X2 Pro+ won’t be for every enthusiast – but as an everyday companion, even for non-enthusiasts, the versatile light is well-suited, not least because of the multiple possible purposes and the variability in power supply. For me, the edged-futuristic design is a very welcome change from the many round or flat and rounded lights on the market, Wuben really pushes my buttons with the ECL line

if “plus” is the increase of wavelength of the sidelight second emitter from UV to Red – i get it but it appears that they didnt fix much and it is the same junk as the original X2Pro if not worse.
Still no high cri emitter for the sidelight, still no moonlight and same stupid UI. They removed the flood-to-spot transition which was the only thing that was making the X2 Pro mildly interesting.
I dont care about the sidelight able to tilit a couple of degrees and rather see a warmer and higher CRI emitter there. (looks like still made of plastic and flimsy)
Still no front glass to prevent the two pocket lint collecting recessed TIRs from turning into subject of weekly cleaning or the large TIR scratched.
Ordered mine and waited a year. Nothing
Glad someone got theirs.
