I have an old Jonathan Crooke knife here that I inherited a long time ago. Would love some feedback on identification and potential value. I've kept it for years thinking it was from WW2, and recently realized it's likely a lot older. Best I can get from reading around a little online is that it's likely a late 19th Century (maybe into early 20th) Jonathan Crooke knife. Although unlike any other examples I've seen online it's missing the makers name above the logo at the base of the blade. It's not super clear in the photos, but on the other side it says "Sheffield England" at the base.
In terms of personal history I don't know much about it, it was just a knife that lived in my grandpas shed in the UK, at least since my dad was a boy in the 60s/70s. Since I've owned it it's just lived in a storage box in my house. I don't really know what to do with it, so was hoping to learn more to help me decide.
