So, I already owned the 3X21D. When Simon released the 46950 tube for it, I decided to take the plunge, and bought the tube, a 46950 charger, and some 46950 cells. When they finally arrived yesterday, I charged one of them up and then put it in the tube.
And now, I've reached at the point that you see in the photo. I can screw the 46950 tube and the head of the 3X21D together, but clearly, nothing is making contact with anything else. It's kind of like sticking two female ends together. I didn't see any other items (adapters, springs, etc) that obviously needed to go with the 46950 tube when I ordered it. So, what am I missing here? Thanks for any help.

This is the thread I have saved for when mine arrives.
The only thing they don’t explain is putting a bypass on the spring, it’s the wire they show soldered on.
You need to add a spring to the driver and modify the cell a bit:

Those little round plastic battery isolators you get with a new flashlight are great for putting under the spring when you fit it.
