Today is NKD for me. Fun fact, I dont consider myself a knife collector. But when I stopped and thought about it, maybe I am?!?!? Below is my assortment that I recently rounded up from the various places around the house. Few stories behind this mess: my first love affair was with the brass butterfly knife when I was about 6 years old. My father was a sheriff and this was something confiscated that ended up in the garage. I got a toy butterfly knife from pick-n-save crica 1986/87 and taught myself the basics of handling it. Scared my parents half to death when they first saw me demonstrate on the real knife when I was in 2nd grade. The Buck 110 was my father's, he carried it on duty since the late 70s. The Kershaw Scallion purchased when I went off to college in 2001 and used to cut twigs/leaves/branches in my forestry and dendrology courses for plant identification. The plane blade Spyderco Delica I bought on eBay in 2004 but the guy send me the wrong model and refunded my entire cost ($20), thus a free knife and exposing me to truly sharp blades. Spyderco replaced the clip during a sharpening some years ago. The two serrated Delicas are Gen 1 models with plastic molded clips TSA confiscated I purchased on eBay. One had the tip chipped off but Spyderco reprofiled it and sharpened it for a small fee. The OTFs and Boker autos are what I'd buy myself, wife, and son for stocking stuffers over the years. Most recently I bought the Bel Air new and Elementum used. I have a Kershaw Mini Iridium arriving today, so NKD when the mail comes today. Been fun to walk down memory lane via my knife collection. I could go on but I digress.

Bel Air and Mini Iridium. The Bel Air cost 3x as much and feels 10x more impressive. Definitely worth the upgrade! That said, ill likely baby it compared to the iridium, since I only paid $37 for it.
