Long time listener, first time caller.
Strongly considering my first hank light, but i dunno if this configuration is prudent.
Currently have an sft70 in a Fenix. I think its one heck of an Led, but dang it gets toasty real quick. The Fenix is nearly twice the size of the kr1, and with pronounced cooling fins. im wondering how the sft will fare in a lil pocket rocket like the kr1.
Since the lume driver is 32w/40w, won't this also crank up the heat? it stands to reason that this combo would quickly be engaging temp regulation. My current sft looks great when its running on all cylinders, not so much when you shift it down to low gear.
any current users that can chime in? is this combo good to go?

I love the light itself, and really need a pocket rocket thrower. All my other throwers require a holster, so im not interested in the k1 right now
I appreciate any feedback. I would hate to get all excited, await eagerly for its arrival, only to be underwhelmed and wishing I had went with something more sensible like an osram led
