Just opened my first package from convoy and overall i am really pleased.

On closer inspection I noticed this on the LES of a SFT42R

Is it worth trying to remove this? If so how?

Happy to leave it if its not going to cause damage in future but would rather get it off if its as easy as popping off the bezel and reflector and blowing it off?

Try a dry small paint brush?

I’d be very careful if you try to use something wet to get this off.

I would take a can I of compressed air and blow it off, I’d be worried that you use it on turbo and melts whatever that is onto the emitter and causes a beam artifact, especially since it’s domeless

I’d probably just remove it with a cotton swab if possible. I’ve cleaned flux splatter off emitters several times using a swab with a bit of 99% IPA, and I’ve never had any issues.

I think you might even be able to just use a dry cotton swab, or maybe just blow it away with a pipette, depending on what it is.
