I couldn’t leave the T3 alone.
This is a Convoy T3 hot-rod build that’s absolutely not pretending to be sensible, but honest about limits.
Specs:
- Host: Convoy T3 (14500)
- Emitter: Nichia 519A 5000K
- Driver: 5A buck
- Optics: AR glass, black o-ring
- Thermal: MX-4 under MCPCB, CS109 where it matters
- UI: Group 5 (1% / 20% / 100%)
- Cell: Vapcell K10 14500
Impressions:
- On 1% and 20% it’s extremely usable, great for actual tasks.
- 100% is ridiculous for the host size. Very bright, very fast heat rise.
- No attempt to fight physics: this is a burst mode, not sustain.
- Tint is clean and neutral; classic 519A goodness.
This isn’t a recommendation for stock T3s or casual users. It’s a “because I can” build, done carefully, with expectations set correctly.
