Made of SLD Magic like many of the North Mountain Blades. First knife in this steel I’ve owned, can’t wait to see if it’s the “upgraded D2” I’ve seen it described as.

The fit and finish are great, the blade is very elegant, the handle is comfortable, and the retention and design of the sheath are really nice.

The bad side: I got this basically without any input from reviews, as there are virtually no reviews of this knife in existence. The clip, while cool and very functional, is uni-sided. Womp womp. Unfortunately I don’t have a clip on hand that will fit the hole spacing. That’s ok because I intended to pocket carry anyway, just frustrating.

Unfortunately the edge is….strange. It’s hair popping sharp, it cuts paper like a straight razor…and yet it’s such a smooth, polished edge that it has some trouble cutting some materials. It’s also a very shallow edge grind, which annoys me, I just don’t feel like trying to make it more gradual yet. Oh well, it’s still a pretty little knife, I love the overall aesthetic, and it’s a very convenient pocket carry size, just wish they had included a clip for the opposite side.
