I am currently on a trip to Argentina. Asado (steak) culture is quite big here. I went to a knife store called "Cuchillos Artesanales Argentinos Parrillerisimos". The owner was very helpful and didn't try and oversell me. I came to the conclusion that the chef knives in Argentina probably wouldn't beat what I have brought home from Japan so settled on something different/unique that had a general purpose.
I bought these 12 steak knives and paid about $500 USD. They say Schmieden on them.
I think the handles are unique so I am happy with them as a souvenir, but am wondering what reddit thinks of them as general purpose steak knives.
Would love some thoughts!
