I just put an SFT-42R (back) into an M21H host and wanted to try it out against a few similar(ish) throwers.
Sorry I'm no photographer and my phone cam has done its best to make them all look the same but I think you can get an idea from the pics.
The first set of shots are of an opening in the trees at around 100m.

The SR12 was part of another post but I thought maybe it might help someone for comparison.
The last two pics are of the M21H SFT-25R and SFT-42R at the same opening from around 300m. Although the others did throw a glimmer of light in that direction there really was nothing to photograph. To my eyes, the SFT-25R hotspot was much clearer than the SFT-42R.
