QSP Penguin V2 with the black stonewash blade and the green micarta handle.
Vosteed Porcupine with the copper dune blade and the black micarta handle. Although it's more brown than copper in person.
Saw a lot of recommendations for both of these and really liked the look of both so I figured I'd go ahead and get them and I'm glad I did.
The action on both is great, they're really fun to flick open. I'm not quite used to it though because they're both very different from what my EDC has been for the last year. And I still need to get used to the button on the Vosteed.
But they're very well built and feel good in the hand, although the micarta surprised me. I didn't expect it to almost have the texture of paper. And it seems to be a magnet for the cat hair that's all over my house lol. Also, the factory edge is really good. It feels smooth and the Vosteed already cut my finger while I was getting used to the closing mechanism.
The position of the pocket clip on these is also different to my EDC and I have to see how that'll work out for me.
Neither are my most expensive knife by any means but they both feel better quality than all the other knives I own. And they came with quite a few extra things which was a nice surprise. I haven't bought a knife in a few years so I don't know if that's standard, but I haven't experienced it before.
In conclusion, these will be added to my daily rotation and I will definitely get more from both of these brands.
