Dyneema cord is pretty much the strongest cord you could possibly get which is nice if you want an indestructible necklace cord, however the cord is never the weakest point of a necklace it’s how you link it. Now you could just tie the ends together but that comes with the big risk of strangulation risk since the cord is so strong, so I fixed that by tying the cord to a 30lb fishing split ring that breaks at exactly 30lb. So daily wear and snags and stuff will not break your cord however in a life threatening situation if you really need to you can rip it off. Just an idea for people that want a necklace that is super strong but also has an emergency release.

I used to rock a 550 necklace … I realized if I didn’t swim every other day or so, the fibers would start to stink from my sweat!
Hopefully dyneema won’t. But something to look out for
oooh, shit I like this idea. I have a giant (200m) spool of 2.5mm dyneema, for taglines, but I could easily do this for my neck knife sheath.
